Implementing change in an organization

You will select an organization that you would like to study. You may select an organization that you currently work for, one that you would like to work for in the future, or one that is currently being discussed in the media. Briefly summarize the organization that you have chosen in 1–2 paragraphs.

Using step one in Kotter’s 8-Step change model (creating urgency), explore the following points:

Identify potential threats to your organization, such as competition.
Examine opportunities that should be exploited, such as a loyal customer base or unique product offering.
Discuss ways to promote discussion on positive change, such as creating an open-door policy or communication process.
Determine where you can find support, such as professional partnerships outside of the organization.
